Seawork continues to be huge benefit to clients

Seawork International 2018, celebrating its 21st show, has drawn to a close after three successful days at Mayflower Park (3 – 5 July) and remains a flagship show for Saltwater Stone’s clients.
Managing Director of Saltwater Stone Georgina Bartlett said: “As Seawork Press Office sponsor for the fifth year we were delighted with this year’s show. As in previous years the quality of visitors and exhibitors makes our attendance truly worthwhile. We look forward to returning next year.”
Saltwater Stone clients exhibiting at the show had the following to say about this year’s exhibition.

“Our first time at Seawork was a really positive experience for us.”

Ewan Clark, Director of first time exhibitor Coppercoat said: “Our first time at Seawork was a really positive experience for us. We decided to exhibit at the show as it gave us exposure to the commercial marine market. The show gave us an excellent opportunity to network and make contacts with key people in this sector that we wouldn’t normally have access to. It was great to meet new clients and be able to illustrate the benefits to using Coppercoat antifoul.”
Cox Powertrain’s Marketing spokesperson, Faye Dooley said: “This year’s Seawork was a pivotal moment for Cox as it enabled us to share details of the final concept of our game changing diesel outboard engine, the CXO300. It was also a great opportunity to get visitors signed up to our demo programme which will run later this year to coincide with the engine launch and opening of our order books.”
The British diesel engine innovator, Cox Powertrain was joined at their by their UK distributor Berthon. Commenting for Berthon, Dominic May said: “Seawork has been brilliant. We have been speaking to new customers who want engines as soon as we start production. I have also talked to customers who will incorporate the CXO300 in future plans once the engine is in full production. Reception within the industry, from designers, boat builders and end users has been overwhelmingly positive.”

Paul Hickinbotham, Product Director – Marine EMEA, Dometic, said: “We have been coming to Seawork for many years and it continues to be a key show for us, particularly in 2018 as we increase our focus on meeting the needs of our commercial customers. In addition to highlighting the latest HVAC technology such as our variable speed units, plus our watermakers and coolboxes, we were able to introduce our new Commercial Marine Product Manager, Guido Wolfs.”

Chris Fower, Sales and Marketing Director, Fischer Panda UK, said: “This year’s show has been the perfect platform for us to showcase our full-service capability to supply a range of diesel generators, air-conditioning systems, hybrid electric propulsion systems, integrated mobile power solutions and watermakers for commercial vessels. It has probably been our busiest Seawork yet, as we were able to announce that our generators are now type approved, plus our equipment was also on show on a new ROV vessel launched by BW SeaCat on the pontoon.”

“Seawork International provides a fantastic platform for manufacturers to showcase their latest technologies.

James Hewitt, Sales and Marketing Manager, from communication and safety at sea specialist Ocean Signal, said: “We introduced our new ATA100 Class A and ATB1 Class B AIS transponders at the show for the first time and were very pleased with the level of interest in these units, as well as our beacons and other safety devices. It is great for us to showcase a strong joint platform of the latest products from both ACR Electronics and Ocean Signal at this key UK show.” Ocean Signal had a joint stand with ACR Electronics.

Commenting for Raymarine, UK Sales Manager Harry Heasman said: “Seawork International provides a fantastic platform for manufacturers to showcase their latest technologies. At this year’s show we launched two innovative radars to the commercial sector, Quantum 2 and Magnum™. These products generated much interest amongst our commercial customers who were able to experience the benefits first-hand of their advanced features. Our expanded range of Axiom® multifunction displays also created a buzz on the stand and this year we were pleased to be able to demonstrate our new Axiom® Pro and Axiom XL products.”

Louise Smith, Senior Media Executive Saltwater Stone, returned to Seawork International after a few years break and said: “Having regularly attended Seawork prior to its location change, I was personally interested to see how much the event had grown since I last attended a few years ago. Throughout the halls and out onto the pontoons, the professionalism, upbeat atmosphere and overall growth of the event not only made my visit a great experience, but it also reinforced the importance of Seawork to the sector.”
Saltwater Stone looks forward to working and supporting Seawork in 2019.
