Busy autumn show season for Saltwater

It’s showtime!
Many of our team have been out of the office over the last month attending autumn boat shows across Europe. As ever, we were busy in the run up with client press kits to prepare, brochures to write and media appointments to arrange. The levels of anticipation and excitement were as high, with some great client products to promote, influential journalists to meet and of course a few good parties in the offing.
First off the blocks was our MD, Georgina Bartlett, who flew south to attend Cannes Yachting Festival where she supported clients and held media meetings. With over 3.7km of floating pontoons, and over 650 boats on display, there was plenty to see.
Closer to home, most of the Saltwater Stone team attended the Southampton Boat Show. There we supported Argo Yachting with a press event and media meetings for renowned American luxury motor yacht brand Chris-Craft, which made its Southampton show debut showcasing one of the latest additions to its range, the Launch 28 GT.
Another Saltwater Stone client, Karpaz Gate Marina, also exhibited at SBS for the first time. This award-winning, 5-gold-anchor-rated marina offers users a wide range of services, including a beach club, and in recent years has attracted an increasing number of British owners looking to base their boat in the Eastern Mediterranean.
Vendée Globe 2020 competitor, Pip Hare – a Saltwater Stone pro bono client – attended the Southampton event with her IMOCA 60 Superbigou. Pip will soon be setting off on her next challenge, the Transat Jaques Vabre at the end of October.
While SBS has been taking place, our Director Clive headed south for the enviable task of racing in Monaco Classic Week. Attracting a fleet of beautifully kept traditional yachts from a bygone era, this regatta bills itself as being all about reviving ‘l’art de vivre la mer’ or you could say ‘living the good life’!
Other members of our team made their way down to the principality at the end of September for Monaco Yacht Show, undoubtedly one of the highlights of the autumn show season. This spectacular event takes over Monte Carlo for four days with around 30,000 visitors attending to view the 120 or more superyachts on display.
Among the clients we supported there were Channel 28, Inmarsat and Cox Powertrain. Inmarsat hosted an interactive workshop session on satellite connectivity for ACREW members during the show while Channel 28 demonstrated its C-Clear duplex engine room communication system and advised captains and owners’ reps about digital crew communications on superyachts.
Throughout the event, innovative diesel outboard manufacturer Cox Powertrain made waves with its daily on-water demonstrations showcasing the CXO300’s impressive performance and the benefits of diesel outboards for superyacht tenders.
Next up for the Saltwater team is METs, taking place from the 19th to 21st November.
